RACE FOR EDUCATION
The safety and health of our Race for Education participants and volunteers are a priority. With that in mind, we have decided to host our Race for Education event VIRTUALLY.

The Johnnie Alberta Foundation continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). We are following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other health authorities.
Even though we will not be hosting a traditional event, our virtual event will be a chance for you to participate with other people in your community – keeping safe distancing rules in place, of course.
HOW TO BE A PART OF OUR VIRTUAL EVENT
Ride, Run, or Walk…. Walk or Run: around your neighborhood or in the comfort of your home. Ride: locally or on a stationary bike. Complete your intended distance! Please follow your local social distance ordinances to stay safe.
Track and Share Your Progress from start to finish on one of our social media platforms via Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram using the hashtag #JAFVirtualRace2021. Tag us in your post by sharing your live video(s) or picture(s). Let us know if you are participating in honor or memory of someone, to encourage students to finish an undergraduate degree, or just for a great workout. It is powerful and encouraging!
We encourage you to join our Social Media Community participants and supporters to stay connected and enjoy our virtual experience together!
Please continue to ask friends and family for donations to support our mission and consider making a personal donation if you are able.
EARN SOME GREAT PRIZES!
We’ve transformed the JAF Race For Education into a virtual event so you can participate wherever you are, whether it’s logging steps from moving around in your home, doing a social-distancing run in your neighborhood or riding around the community.
Begin by completing your goal of 25/50 miles along with the fundraising goal that is reasonable and safe for you to accomplish within the week of our Race For Education.
Must register to participate... the $25 registration fee gets you started and includes a t-shirt. There is no minimum fundraising requirement, which means the sky’s the limit. Together we’re working towards a great cause, so let’s go all out. However, if you reach one of the JAF Milestones, you can earn some great prizes!

You are not required to fundraise, but we do encourage all participants to fundraise above the entry fee. Just Imagine the IMPACT – If just 25 Race participants raise just $20 in addition to their registration fee, we would create an additional minimum scholarship of $500.00!
